Today I took a peek at little Jack and he just is always up to something in there. One time it looked like he was smiling and the other time it looked like he was praying. Lately he has been sticking out his tongue and touching his arm and hand. He's also been practicing breathing which is great news! It's been a rough day because one of mommy's fellow classmates was killed in the line of duty. David Moore was only 29 and we will all remember what an awesome person he was!

I love lazy Sundays. This is Lila and her daddy snuggling. She is such a daddy's girl and usually takes my spot if I get up to run to the bathroom. I think me and Pat both know that our lazy Sundays are about to become crazy baby Sundays at any point now that I'm full-term!!

Tonight we went out to dinner with the Rooney's. It's always great to catch up and see James and hang out. We haven't seen them in a while! After getting yummy Mexican food we went back to their house for a few drinks and just to catch up. They also gave me an AWESOME "Push Present"! It's a beautiful coach diaper bag! I love love love it!!

It's a rough life being a furbaby in the Rooney household. We've been staying in alot this past week finishing up household stuff and I've been fighting a horrible cold so the girls have LOVED us being home more often. They both usually sleep in our bed and love to cuddle. Pearl loves to sleep on her back with her paws in the air and usually looks like a little dead opossum :)

Waiting for steak from daddy. The girls LOVE treats especially human food. All 3 of them act like sweet angels once they smell what their treat may be. Even Brownie moves quickly to get a snack. They have loved us being home this week. Mom's been fighting a horrible cold and 38 weeks prego and dad's been working from home so we haven't been up to much this week.

Hello nesting! Now that Jack could be here any day basically I have gone into major nesting overload. Pat has been so helpful and I think he is nesting too. We have totally cleaned and reorganized alot. We even got the furbabies new food bowls so that when we are gone at the hospital I'm not worried about them being hungry or thirsty....Pat has been great at just buying the stuff and moving on, unlike pre-pregnancy purchases :)

Our furbabies...they LOVE it when mommy and daddy have free weekends! We haven't had one in a while and with me being sick and Jack on the way we have been cleaning, organizing, and sleeping. It has been great just watching movies and not worrying about call. These two have no idea what is heading there way in the next couple of weeks!

Today was our 36 week/9 month appointment for little Jack! I met with a new doctor and really liked her. Everything is going great for our little man. This is the first time they checked to see if I'm progressing and there isn't any dilation. I had a feeling there wasn't going to be, but if he's like me and Pat it will be on his own time and perhaps a little late. We'll go to the doctor every week now until he's here! These are some 3d pictures that I took of his chunky cheeks!

Mommy was sick with the same cold today and came home to a stocked fridge! Throughout my pregnancy going to the grocery store has been the worst...I can't think of a list, I forget things, and I give up half way through the store. Pat stepped up and went to the store for me!! I was SUPER excited, it's the little things :)

Today we got our maternity pictures in the mail! I love them. I was going back and forth on having them done. I hate pictures by myself especially when you feel ginormous, but Melinda talked me into it. I'm so glad that we'll have pictures to show Jack of when he was in my belly. Sarah from Sarah-beth photography did such a great job!

Today, I was super sick with a cold. It's awful being sick in the winter, but ten times worse when your 9 months pregnant. Pearl is always my sweetie when I'm sick. This is her laying on my belly. She loves to nap so she's always up for sleeping. I swear dogs know when your sick or upset.

1-11-11

After a rough day at work it's so nice to come home to my loves. Even though the girls are totally Daddy's girls they are still my babies...every now and then they give me kisses too. This is Lila sleeping on her Daddy...God forbid she raise her head when mom gets home.

Our little man's room! We are basically finished organizing finally. I have been in MAJOR nesting mode this week. I'm just about 36 weeks and never thought I'd be the "nesting" type but everything that is out of order is driving me NUTS in this house . We got so much done for you this weekend little man!

Lila bean loves trying out Jack's stuff. Melinda got Jack this adorable hat for his newborn pictures and of course I had to try it out on something. I just LOOOVEEE this hat, his chunky cheeks will look so cute in it!

I love my friends :)...This is Aunt Court and Aunt Mel feeling Jack moving. This night we all just hung out at our house after some MAJOR organizing at the Rooney household. I don't know what I'd do without these two ladies in my life!

It's a rough life for Lila Bean. This is her favorite spot espcially on a Friday night. This is how she'd sleep all night long, she is such a Daddy's girl. Poor Jack is going to have to learn to be pushy with Lila and Pearl around.

This week I've been trying to somewhat get together our hospital bag. It isn't going very well so far. Luckily my friends have narrowed down what I really need and what I should really leave at home. As I started packing my first thing on the list was onesies and take home outfit for Jack. In reality you only need one, the hospital can supply what they wear until you take them home. After taking out every newborn outfit and this took me over a half hour I had it narrowed down to about 7 or 8 outfits :/. Pat then grabbed his favorite 3 and decision was quickly made. Hopefully Jack doesn't get his mommy's indecisiveness :) after all that I was spent and laid down...sooo only one thing checked off my list :(

This is me and Lila practicing my cradle hold. She obviously LOVES being babied and loves any attention. She has been such a good girl since I've been pregnant! Although I don't think any of our dogs have any idea what's in store for them in about a month. Lila and Pearl both love to lay on my belly and just rest their heads and listen, they actually started this really early in the pregnancy and it was so cute!

Dear baby Jack, look at mommy's cankles. This is what they look like at the end of the work day....but you are so worth it :). Today I caught you on ultrasound sucking on your toe. I can't wait to meet you and see your awesome personality outside the womb!

I love to sneak a peek into Jack's world and see what he is up to in there while I'm at work. Today when I peeked he was sticking his extremely long tongue in and out and in and out. Then, he would start sucking his thumb and arm. It's amazing to see what he is doing in his own little world. We are so thankful to get many glimpses of him! He's gotten so big and come so far!

Today were our maternity and nursery pictures with Sarah Hill! She is such a great photographer and a lot of fun and up for anything. We started off in the nursery and at our house and then went down to Mass. Ave for some outdoor shots. It was FREEZING today, but we made it through!

1-1-11 :)

Well today is the start of my "One Frame a Day" for our New Year's picture this may be pretty random or pretty boring to others, but it's how me and Pat spent our first New Year's Eve with Jack. One would think that the simple plain brown blind in this picture would be easy to assemble, but no it took us 2.5 hours (honestly for all three) and I thought both of us would LOSE our minds!! The instructions were ridiculous and we had no idea what we were doing. Pat fell 2 separate times and we have nail holes in every inch of the window frame. All in all, for our little Jack we ended up getting all three blinds up and they look great in his room.
